Wire Belt with Side Chain and Flap

Almost all types of wire mesh belts can e fitted with side chains, either attached to the wire mesh by cleats or forming an integral part of the mesh, the cross rods of the mesh being taken through hollow bearing pins of the chains or actually taking the place of the chain pins. Side chain belts are generally used on strongly inclined conveyors and on conveyors with inverted bends. The side chain-belt is supported on the sides only and the live load is taken by the mesh with adequately strong cross rods or cross flights. These belts are frequently used on washing applications.
